Hindi Divas 2025 celebrated on 10 January 2025

The High Commission celebrated Vishwa Hindi Divas 2025 celebration on 10 January 2025 with robust participation of distinguished members of Indian diaspora community and Hindi enthusiasts of Trinidad & Tobago.
High Commissioner Dr Pradeep Rajpurohit, Dharmacharya Pt Rampersad Parasram, Mr Chanka Sitaram, President of Hindi Foundation of T&T, Mr Surujdeo Mangaroo, Vice President of Hindi Foundation & NCIC, Pt Gajendra Maharaj opened the event by lighting Diyas and addressed the gathering. It was followed by distribution of prizes to the winners of various Hindi Competitions, recitation of Hindi poems and cultural performances by teachers of Mahatma Gandhi Institute for Cultural Cooperation. The event was anchored by two young Hindi enthusiasts from T&T - Sangeeta Hussein and Avinash Kisoon, who have studied Hindi in India last year under a scholarship scheme.
